WHY WE ARE DOING A BLOG:
As the shop keeps growing, myself and the guys are always looking for ways to better the shop and push it in new directions. So after talking with April “the website extraordinaire,” about a better way to reconnect with our followers on social media and the subscribers via email. She suggested we do a monthly blog that lets us keep you all updated on what’s been happening around the shop! The Blog let’s us go into a little more detail on what’s happening with certain builds, the offices we are building, special promotions we are having, and even new parts we are developing and going to be offering in the future. “Keepin’ up with the NFamus Crew” just got a little easier!

HIGHWAY MILES AND HEAT…
The last few months have been a typical Texas summer, plain ole HOT!!! But that doesn’t slow us down, there are still parts to build and trucks to finish! In the last two months we have had some pretty big builds get finished up that we were pretty darn proud of. In June, we had Gary’s 2012 RAM 3500 leave the shop  bagged laying frame on 24″ XL Classics! The truck was wrapped up two weeks before making a 3000 mile round trip visit to Shelley, Idaho for huge  diesel dyno meet up. On that long cruise the Accuair setup made the long drive nice and comfortable in the 700 hp Tow Pig! Now with over 5000 miles on the truck we think it’s safe to say Gary is loving his “Big Booty Judy”.

After the Dually departed it was all hands on deck on Greg’s 1972 Chevy C10. Greg’s C10 left about a week or so ago. This was a huge build for the shop because this truck is running the first prototype of our 62-72 chassis that we are thinking about offering to customers in the future. This is a bumper to bumper chassis with all custom suspension front and rear. Greg has been a great customer of ours that wants quality all the way around on the vehicle. Only running the best parts is what Greg got with Intro 24 x 15s in the rear and 24 x 9s in the front to help with that low turning radius and looking good doing it. The truck was also equipped with a full Accuair E level ,fully adjustable QA1 shocks and huge set of Baer brakes. Needless to say the first time we let Greg drive the truck you could tell it was “love at first cruise.”

But in true fashion don’t think Greg is done with the build yet. There is still a full interior and paint to be done to the truck! Don’t worry we will keep you updated as he progresses with his build. Before the truck heads to the paint shop though, Street Trucks magazine came to the shop last week and did a shoot for their magazine. Can’t give you any details yet….guess you will have to pick up the copy of Street Trucks when it hits the stands to check out this badass C10.

PARTS SHOP FOCUSING ON QUALITY!
The NFamus Metal shop is making more sparks than we ever imagined it would. When we started the parts biz in 2012 it was designed to help our customers use the same parts we do on all our builds but still make it affordable and easy to install. We pride ourselves in helping each and every customer with their build and help cater the parts to their specific needs. We love getting the emails saying how much better the parts actually look in person once they show up on your doorsteps. You can thank Marcos “Laser Hands” for all those beautiful welds and tight fitment. So what’s to come for NFamus Metal? The newest link kit is our 73-87 Chevy 3 link kits with and without notches.

This kit was just finalized in early July and is a must have for C10 lovers. We are also adding full Air Management kits that have everything you need to get your project airing up and down. All the components in our air management kits are the same parts we use on our customers vehicles, the same parts Keith has been installing for 10 years plus!

Thanks for “Keepin’ up with the NFamus Crew” See you next month!
